Chase Eyecare, Cannock is an independent family eyecare specialist, offering a range of eye services including standard eye exams, Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) scans, diabetic eyecare and children’s eyecare. As a results of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, Chase Eyecare have been doing things differently with the help of Doctorlink’s video consultation solution.
They had wanted a solution that would make it easy for patients to access eyecare services. And after trying other video consultation systems they found Doctorlink to be very simple and easy to use, particularly for their elderly patients.
Using Doctorlink’s video consultation, Chase Eyecare have seen patients of all ages, as well as referrals from local practices. Following a video consultation, it was rare that patients needed to come in for a further face to face appointment or be sent on to the hospital for further treatment.
More recently they have conducted video consultations with patients calling in from their company offices, patients working in other clinics, as well as those who are at home. And they expect a mix of these types of video consultations to continue.
