Doctorlink helps support practices in delivering NHS England’s total triage model by allowing them to provide their patients with access to online consultations from anywhere, at anytime. This solution allows patients to complete a symptom assessment, directing them to the most appropriate form of care such as A&E, urgent care, GP practice, self-care and other healthcare providers. It can connect to the local Directory of Services and send to patients to other healthcare providers in their area.

Doctorlink allows for GP, Nurse, and musculoskeletal (MSK) appointments to be booked directly into all three major clinical systems depending on the patient’s symptoms. These appointments can be face to face, phone or video and are configurable to meet different practice workflows.

When patients are directed to make an appointment, surgeries are provided with details of the patient’s symptoms, their contact details and a prioritisation for that patient based on their symptoms. Patients offered an appointment can book one directly for practices using EMIS, TPP SystmOne or Vision. Patients using Doctorlink can also request repeat prescriptions and make admin requests, such as following up test results and referrals.

Doctorlink’s online consultation solution is also available in a simple data capture format. In this setup patients complete a symptom assessment and their results are then sent to the practice, where the practice determines patient care according to their own processes. Patients are still able to request repeat prescriptions and make admin requests in this setup.
